Message to Prospective Members

The Newcomers Club of Reno -Sparks gives individuals and their families relocating to the Reno-Sparks area an avenue to meet new friends and discover all that the Truckee-Meadows has to offer. 

 

We also welcome members who have experienced recent change in their lives such as retirement, change in marital status or the arrival of a new baby.

 

Since many of us have either recently moved to the area or had a change in the circumstances of our lives, we’re a great resource for others in these circumstances.  We’ll gladly help to make your transition a bit easier.

 

As a social group, we provide a focused way to meet people to share experiences and local activities.  We offer a wide array of activities to ensure there’s something of interest for everyone. 

 

We sponsor activities, but also routinely promote activities organized by other groups when we feel they'll be of interest to our membership.  We try to offer a variety of activities to meet varied interests, but if we don’t have one you find enticing, we’ll be happy to help you form one that does.

About Us

 
Newcomers Club of Reno/Sparks is a non-profit Social Organization providing a friendly atmosphere and a wide variety of member-run activities so you can meet new friends and get adjusted to a new place or a new time in your life. We will help you learn about local charitable and civic causes by communicating activities and events that are of special interest to our members.

Why Join?


Newcomers Club of Reno-Sparks has enjoyable activities every week of the month. We put out a monthly newsletter that describes the on-going, seasonal and special activities and the coordinators of each. You may participate in as many formal activities as you wish.

How To Join


There are several ways to join Newcomers of Reno-Sparks 

 

1. Plan to attend a monthly Informational Coffee at 9:30 am on the first Tuesday of each month at the Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel on Terminal Way across the street from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport where you can pick up a Membership Application Form. Please RSVP by calling our Newcomers Hot line 

775-881-2040 Ext. 2, by the Monday preceding the meeting.

 

2. Send a letter to the Newcomers Club Membership Director, P.O Box 21244, Reno, NV 89515-1244, requesting information and an application.

 

3. Print out our Application Form and mail it to our Membership Director.
